Is the Dairylea range gluten free?
We don’t use any gluten-containing ingredients in Dairylea cheese, however, some of the Dunkers products such as our Dunkers Breadsticks may contain gluten. . And, whilst we’re on the subject of what’s in our Dairylea, we don’t add any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives either.
Is Dairylea pasteurised?
Yes, the whole Dairylea range is pasteurised. This is the process of heating and blending that helps make our cheese spread soooo delicious.
Is Dairylea suitable for vegetarians?
Dairylea Spreads, Triangles, Slices, Dunkers and Stripcheese are suitable for vegetarians. Hurray!
Is Dairylea free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives?
Dairylea Spreads, Triangles, Slices, Dunkers and Stripcheese are free from added artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Which we think is a jolly good thing.
Is Dairylea suitable for babies and young children?
We recommend talking to your health visitor or doctor about anything to do with your kids’ diet, but, in general, and as long as it’s eaten in moderation, and as part of a healthy and varied diet, Dairylea is suitable for children under 3 years.
Can you freeze Dairylea?
No, Dairylea isn’t suitable for home freezing. But that’s ok as you’ll be eating it up so quickly!
Can you cook with Dairylea?
Yes, Dairylea is your new best friend in the kitchen! Melt it on top of a jacket potato or into a bowl of pasta. Add it to scrambled eggs or mash it into potato. Use a slice to make cheesy garlic bread or add one to a wrap.
How long can you keep Dairylea in the fridge for once it is opened?
We recommend using Dairylea Spreads within 7 days of opening. If you can make it last that long, of course…
